Spain is still a very popular holiday resort choice with plenty of options and remains one of the top destinations within Europe. Although there are great resorts such as Marbella and Benidorm on the mainland, the Balearic Islands still remain a definite favourite. The most popular Spanish island destination is Mallorca with visitors returning year after year to the beach resorts such as Palma Nova in the south west and Alcudia in the north east.
